Microtech 4 and 3 pin wrenches.
Sizes:
Small - 3 pin wrench. Fits handle screws on all current mini
Microtech knives as well as clip screws.
Medium - 4 pin wrench. Fits handle screws on all current
OTF's as well as handle screws on large sized sidewinders.
Large - 4 pin wrench. Fits pivot screws on all current MT
sidewinders.
Custom TERZOULA - 4 pin wrench. Fits the scale screws
on the custom A.T.C.F. Microtech only.
All wrenches are built with hex
ends and can be dropped right
into most any standard sized
hex end screwdriver handle. I
recommend a short driver be
used to avoid over
torquing/sheering the Microtech
screws themselves. If you
encounter a tight screw its best
to heat it with the tip of a
soldering iron or a hot blow
dryer to help moisten the
loc-tite on the threads.
Optional mini gear puller also available. Built with tolerances that
allow it to be dropped right over the bronze bushing and align the
threads inside sed bushing perfectly. Its the only way to remove the
blade from your Scarab without harming the aluminum body of the
knife. Blade needs to be removed if you'd like to have your blade high
polished or satin finished.
FITS SCARAB ONLY.
Instructions: Place gear puller directly over the
bronze bushing. With a screwdriver, turn the threaded
rod into the threaded bushing. Be careful not to
over-tighten and the rod can cause damage to the
aluminum body of the knife. Turn screw until you feel
it begin to tighten up or you feel it bottom out. Once
the screw is tight take a small wrench and turn the
included nut downward until the bushing pulls
completely out. Once the bushing is removed you can
slide your blade completely free of the body of the
knife.
Reinsertion of the bushing: To reinstall the bushing,
place it back over top of the original hole. With a
wooden dowl or nylon punch, tap the bushing back
into the hole until its seated flush. To avoid scratching
the underside of your knife body as you tap the
bushing back into place, make certain your knife body
is laying overtop of a rubber matte or heavy towel
accompanied by a hard surface.

Ordering:
We normally have no idea what size Microtech is using on there
newer knives. They currently use only 3 sizes. If your unsure of what
size you need look at your knife screws. If they have only 3 holes in a
triangle fashion that is a
small size. If they have 3 small holes in a
triangle fashion with an additional hole in the middle (total 4) then that is
a
medium size. Large is unmistakable as it is most normally used for the
pivot and belt clips. It has 4 large holes in the screw and is most always
the largest size screw on your Microtech knife. Outside diameters of all
the screws may vary some on different styled Microtech knives,
however, pin size will always be the same.
